Kanika Saluja Choudhry loves her hardware.

Last season, her stopper was a model in a metal-ridden swimsuit accessorised with a studded mohawk. For a colder season, the standard hemline dropped to floor-length, but the ratio of studs to fabric remained the same. 

Where there was chiffon for summer, the designer now chose leather and wool. And despite the label's dainty-sounding name, Annaikka, the intended wearer is clearly a tougher, more brazen girl.

Military detailing dominated the collection, from the epaulets and bomber jackets to the strict tailoring and regulation green colour palette. Imagine what a female F16 pilot would wear to a cocktail party, and you might consider the cropped leather jacket she paired with a strapless black gown.

Saluja Choudhry's precision with fit and finish would probably fall short of military standards, and we're not sure anybody should attempt those slouchy leather pants with ribbed hems off the ramp, but piecemeal, the collection has some classy separates that could appeal to a less stereotypical audience.
